About Allen E Jones

Allen E Jones is the Chief Deputy of the Champaign County Sheriff's Office, a career law enforcement officer, and Republican candidate for Champaign County Sheriff in 2018.

Allen E Jones is a Champaign County native and longtime servant to his community. He graduated from Rantoul Township High School, has a Bachelor’s of Science from Illinois State University, and attended the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Police Staff and Command.  Allen attended the 261st Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA, in 2015.  He has worked his way from a Correctional Officer to Chief Deputy in his 28 years with the Sheriff’s Office, including serving as Jail Administrator.

He volunteers as an assistant baseball coach for Rantoul High School and serves on the Presence Health Community Leadership Board. He has been honored by the Champaign County Health Care Consumers and has volunteered his time with the United Way of Champaign County. He is a card-carrying member of Guns Save Lives.

Allen and his wife of 25 years, April, live in Rantoul. They have four sons.
